Eating Skin Peeled Off From Legs, Hands. Mental Disorder?

For quite a while now i have consumed my own skin. It is not compulsory as i dont feel driven to do it. It started generally with loose skin that was already peeling from my hands then graduated to bottom of feet then to using a nail clipper to cull larger pieces. Is this a mental disorder , or am i in any physiological danger?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. Eating skin peeled from the legs and hands is probably related to a condition called "pica" although this is a rare phenomenon. Taking your multivitamins and multiminerals as well as getting therapy for this condition along with visiting with a psychiatrist will make you feel better. I hope this is done as soon as you can.

I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!
