Ectopic Pregnancy, Had Laparotomy, Bleeding, Stomach Looks Like Pregnant, Abdominal Pain. Suggestion?

I had a laparotomy last week after an ectopic pregnancy . I started bleeding or getting my periods 3 days after the surgery to date and my stomach is still as big as it was during the pregnancy. I keep getting this excruciating pain on my abdomen which is similar to period pains. Is this normal ? How can I get my stomach flat again.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The distension of abdomen after surgical treatment for ectopic pregnancy is worrisome. This is not a normal finding. You need to be investigated in detail to find out the cause. Please consult your surgeon for the appropriate management.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
