Edema In Legs, High Sugar Content In Urine. Report Shows Overworked Liver. Is This CHF Or Kidney Problem?

Dr. Patil thought I might have a UTI. Labs and culture were negative for infection. A couple weeks ago My stomach got really bloated. I had pitting edema in my legs, ER Dr. said, got real short of breath, urine was as dark as dark beer and foamy. I also woke up vomitting. No appetite, weight loss, and labs show 30 mg/dl protein in urine along with a critically high amount of sugar. I went to ER and they thought I might have CHF. I ve had diabetes almost two decades now. My liver shows it s being overworked and kidney function is at 92. Could I still have a kidney problem? I've had trace amounts of protein for about a year now and have mild anemia for about 3 years. Dr. says something is killing off my red cells. Checked my bone marrow by a blood test, something like that, but said it was good. I have had microscopic hematuria, got cysto and shows my prostate growing into my bladder causing obstruction there and within the prostate. CT shows something on ureters to small to identify, but most likely cysts. CT shows right inguinal lymph node enlarged and contrasting, with no change in it 9 months later on repeat CT. I've had marrow harvested from both of my hips in the early 1980's because of chronic osteomyelitis. Could that have any affect on red cell production without showing on a blood test?

Hello,
Long standing uncontrolled diabetes can result in various types cardiovascular complications as well as diabetic nephropathy.
You could still have diabetic nephropathy inspite of kidney functions at 92.
Foamy urine could be because of high urine protein contents.
You must also be investigated for CHF.
Thanks
