Enlarged, Raised Painful Area On Scrotum That Oozes Purulent Discharge Throughout The Day. Cause?

I noticed a enlarged raised painful area on my scrotum this morning which popped on palpation , It appears to track inwards and has oozed around 0.5 ml of purulent discharge throughout the day, what is it? It is movable but the hardened inward mass is about 1 cm in size and is movable independently of the testicle , any advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks

Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have Sebaceous Cyst over scrotum.

The scrotal skin is rich in sebaceous glands and hence prone to get more sebaceous cyst due to accumulation of sebum beneath the skin.
Normally they fade away without treatment however they need to be treated if increase in size or get infected.
Please consult qualified General Surgeon for clinical evaluation and further treatment.
In the mean while Please take broad spectrum antibiotics along with anti inflammatory medication like Diclofenac twice daily .

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

If persists even after taking antibiotics it will need to be excised in Toto by a qualified General Surgeon,
Dr.Patil.
