Osteophytes are the bony growth which occurs from the margins of joint surface. Sclerosis is hardening of bone underneath the joint surafce. Acetabulum is the cavity & part of hip joint where thigh bone articulates & form the hip joint. For hip arthritis you should do following- -If you are obese then decrease your weight. -Start taking joint supplements like glucosamine & chondroitin sulfate. -Take a mild analgesic like paracetamol for relief of pain. -Take the help of physiotherapist & learn some exercises for hip.
