Excessive Ear Popping, Ear Pain, Fuild Build Up. History Of Tonsills And Sinusitis. Is It Allergy?

Am having excessive ear popping....years of ear aches and fluid build up, tubes in my ears twice, once under 10yrs old, and again when I was 13. Adnoids and tonsills also at that time. No allergies that I've been aware of at this point. Can I possibly be developing slight allergies now? I don't take any medications besides an occasional ibuprofen. I have also had probs when sinusitis in the past, when I was 19.

Hello and welcome to HCM,

According to your history you have had recurrent episodes of ear infection (for which you have had tubes inserted), adenoid enlargement and tonsillitis.
Now, again you are having ear infections and sinusitis.
You need to consult an ENT specialist for prescription of antibiotics.
A through examination of ear needs to be done.
Since, you are having recurrent ear infection, some structural abnormality of the eustachian tube is suspected. Structural abnormalities can lead to spreading of infection from throat to the midd;e ear.
The ear, throat, nasal cavity and the paranasal sinuses are connected so infection at one site can spread to the other site.

Thanks and take care.
