Exercising Regularly, On Good Diet. Having High BP Due To Stressful Job. Recommendations To Reduce BP?

I am 38 years old exercise in the past 3 months on average 4 days a week for 1 hr. i have a pretty good diet, could use some work. My job is quiet stressful, my blood pressure was just tested at 127/88. The diastolic probably needs to come down correct? What else do you suggest to adjust less salt, stay away from sauces in the foods, figure out a better way of alleviating stress, do more yoga? What is normal blood pressure for a 38 year old male, i have not much history of heart problems, don't want to start a case for my family!

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Normal values have a rather wide range: Systolic (upper figure) 90 to 140 / Diastolic 60 to 90 mm Hg.
140/90 is called pre-hypertension, borderline or early...
Your systolic pressure is good / Diastolic near upper limits – ideal will be 130/80
You are already on life style modifications / step up exercise, at least 30 minutes a day, 5 times a week
Reduce salt intake – avoid packed foods, preserved items, pickles which are highly salty / avoid adding salt after cooking - on the table / cut down the amount in cooking – stepwise and over a period of time to 50%...
Yoga, bio-feed back, relaxation techniques help
If still high, take drugs – there are several classes and several in each class / safe and effective.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
