Experience Shortness In Breath All Of A Sudden, High BP Patient. Prescribed Calaptin, Librium, But BP Varies. Is It Ok ?
I worked in a software firm. By nature I am a bit nervous type. I am having high blood pressure from 32-33 yrs of age. Now I am 43. For past 3-4 years i experienced shortness in breath all of a sudden. It comes to normal after 10-15 minutes. For the past 6-7 months I am under a new doctor and he prescribed calaptin 80 alongwith librium 10. I am good now. But my pressure moves around 90-130/90-140. Is it Ok?
Librium is anxiolytic – it will help in your nervousness.
Calaptin is calcium channel blocker – it is useful to reduce blood pressure and heart rate.
It could cause myocardial depression. If you are breathless, you need ECHOcardiogrm and Chest X-ray to reassure.
You will need better control of your pressure.
Angiotensin Receptor Blocker [ARB] or Angiotensin Converting Enzyme [ACE] Inhibitors can be added.
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
