Experienced Heat Stroke, Unresponsive With Eyes, Vitals Normal, Nauseated, Weak. Any Further Treatment Required ?

Hi My 64 yr old father just experienced heat stroke after outdoor physical labor. He was unresponsive with his eyes open for a minute. EMS came said all vitals were normal. Advised that he rest and drink fluids & gatorade and No caffeine or nicotine. My father is now resting, but nauseated and weak. Should he seek further treatment ....IV fluids?

hi
Thanks for your query

i can feel your concerns

i advise you to give him more fluids and juices by mouth
if he is tolerating well, then it is ok
give him antiemetic half hour before giving any thing by mouth

if he is reluctant to take oral fluids then Intravenous fluids is second option

protect him from direct sunlight
keep him in a cool place

Hope i have ansewered your query
i am available for your help
regards
