OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,

After delivery, it will take sometime for gaining the lost blood during delivery and to improve the hemoglobin levels.

- If intake of iron supplements or food is not adequate or/and as you had two menstrual periods leading to blood loss in one month, anemia can develop, which can lead to giddiness, blurring of vision etc.
- If you had high blood pressure or gestational diabetes during pregnancy and stopped treatment in between that can also lead to these symptoms.
- If not following contraception, the possibility of pregnancy should also be ruled out.

So, if the problems persist, please consult your gynecologist once, get examined, check your blood sugar, blood pressure, hemoglobin levels, urine albumin etc. With this workup the possible cause your problem can be identified and treatment can be taken accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
