Experiencing Itching And Bumps Due To Bew Wetting , What Are The Treatments ?

Several weeks ago, my 6 year old slept in my bed and had a bew wetting incident. Obviously, we changed the sheets, etc. Since then, however, both she and I have been suffering from Hive like symptoms every time we sleep in that bed (itching, bumps, etc) What's going on?

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

Seems to be suffering from scabies(both of you). I doubt bed wetting has anything to do with this.

Scabies is characterised by spread of infection amongst close contacts(family members). Nocturnal itching is also suggestive of scabies.

Scabies can be effectively treated with single application of 5% permethrin to the whole body, below face, after a scrub bath and then keeping it overnight for 8 Hours.

All the clothes, bed sheets, pillow covers, towels should be washed or dry cleaned as well.

An oral antihistamine like cetrizine once daily is advisable for itching

take care
regards
