Experiencing Rapid Heart, Squeezing In Left Chest. Stress Test Normal. What To Do ?
Hi, I am 39, & have been experiencing rapid heart , and sometimes squeezing in my my left chest . I had a stress test in Feb., came back normal. What should I do? I have two young children, & I need to be healthy for them. Anxiety cant cause squeezing, or wake me from my sleep, right? It doesnt feel like an anxiety attack at all. When in doubt should asprin be taking?
Conscious Awareness of fast heart beat(palpitations)/ actual rapid heart rate(tachycardia) could be due to many causes, like cardiac disease, anaemia, thyroid disorders, low blood sugars etc.
I would advise you to get blood tests to rule out the above conditions. If all the test results come back as negative, please be reassured that there is nothing wrong with you and it might be a simple case of anxiety.
If chest pain is due to gastritis, taking aspirin will make your condition worse. Please visit your doctor for confirmation of diagnosis.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan
