Experiencing Sharp Pain At The Lower Left Of The Quadrant

I had a TAH on Feb 5th. I have a knot at my incision site, which my doctor explained was internal stitching that takes about six months to heal. I am having extremely sharp pains in my lower left quadrant close to the knot. The pain is horrific when I sit down to use the bathroom, in which I can barely touch the area without wanting to cry. Is this normal or should I go see my gynologist?

Hello,

Pain at the incision site can last for a few months. However, since the pain you are experiencing is severe, I recommend following up with your treating physician to rule out any underlying infection/inflammation.

Hope this answers your question
