Experiencing The Presence Of Slimy Saliva At The Back Of My Throat

First of all, thank you for service in answering questions. I have been experiencing this slimy saliva at the back of my throat. I feel it when I swallow. It sometimes causes me to have fits of cough, lasting a few minutes. It is sometimes so bad that I would vomit. This would happen at least once or twice per day. It sometimes wake me up during my sleep. I have gone to a doctor regarding this condition. I have been taking Zyrtec as well as drink plenty of fluid but nothing seems to help. I have to constantly take cough drops and chew gum.

Hello

There can be 2 reasons for this!
First one is that you may be havin a sinus infection, which is causing the slimy sensation.
Second reason may be that you are having an acid reflux!
Please meet your doctor for confirming this , he will examine you and be able to help you better.
Thanks
