Recently had bout with diverticulitis which subsides and then started to experience upper GI distress burning in chest. The discomfort in chest remains. Today put shoulder bag on and felt sharp pain in chest move into shoulder than down to left arm to finger. Like electrical shock. Then quickly went away. Still tingling in left shoulder. Have appt with cardiologist on Wed but should I go to ER ?
The description is not typical - it may be a nerve root pain... However, it is not possible to exclude heart, by history alone.
You have not stated your age, gender, personal habits, family history or co-morbidities
Go to ER / have an EKG and cardiac markers / it is better to be safe than sorry...
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
