Extreme Dizziness, Boil Under Arms Changed Into Large Lump. Detected Middle Ear Infection. CT Scan Clear. Any Connection?

Hi
I am a 43 year old who has had extreme dizziness for 2weeks . Dr's have thought it to be middle ear infection. CT scan clear. I also have no ear pain. However in this time I devloped what I thought was a boil under my arm. However this has now changed into a large mass (lump). Could the dizziness and Lump be related?

Dear Ma'am,

Thanks for posting your query on this website. I can fully appreciate your concern for your problem.

1. Firstly, was it dizziness/giddiness or rotational feeling with associated nausea, aggravated by change of posture. In case of latter condition, it was probably a benign condition. I presume that the dizziness has disappeared.

2. Secondly, appearance of a lump in the armpit, certainly requires further evaluation, such as, FNAC or biopsy of the mass; mammography to exclude any breast pathology.

3. Please consult a competent Gynecologist (to exclude/confirm presence of breast pathology + do PAP smear) AND (a Surgeon to evaluate the nature of the armpit mass).

These consultants will advise you further relevant investigations as required.

I am confident that you will certainly benefit from the advice.

May I assure you that I am always available for your assistance and will try my best to cure your condition to the best of my experience and knowledge.

Please feel free to revert back to me in case of further clarifications, if any.

HAVE A NICE DAY AND A SPEEDY RECOVERY.

Fond Regards,

Dr.(Col) R Karanwal
