Eyes Burn And Hurt At Night, Especially When I Read And/or Am On The Computer

At night, especially when I read and/or am on the computer, my eyes burn and hurt. They do not turn red, but there is a lot of discomfort. I do not notice much during the day. I was wondering what is causing this. I just had an eye exam about 4 months ago, and all was normal.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having pain and burning of vision while reading or working on computer.
This is because of dryness caused by constant or prolonged exposure to computer and is called as computer vision syndrome.
The treatment is by using artificial tears eye drops.
This can be avoided by preventing long time exposure to computer, avoiding use of air conditioner which can increase dryness, by frequent blinking while using computer, taking breaks and working, use of anti glare coated glasses.

Thank you
