Eyes Twitching, Heart Pounding, Widened Eyes After Smoking Pot. Why?

I have smoked pot for 12 years & just recently I started freaking out. Heart pounding, legs & arms twitching, eyes wide, etc.... Why did this all of a sudden happen? Now I m afraid to smoke, I just take one or two hits a day, so it doesn t happen. Sometimes it can even happen after one hit. I really enjoy smoking , it calms me & relaxes me & I miss it...
