Facial Swelling, Puffy Eyes, On Medication For BP, Heart Failure. Itchy Skin Eruptions On Back. What To Do ?

Hello,
My 83 yo mother has had facial swelling and puffy eyes, for about two to three weeks. She takes medications for blood pressure and heart failure, fluid retention and a blood thinner. She was also treated for scabies several months ago, and had a skin scraping which detected no scabies, but she continues to get more of what appears to be scabies type skin eruptions mostly on her back. They are very itchy and she picks at them and scratches most of the time.

Thank you for using HCM.The facial puffiness would be secondary to fluid retention,a review of the medicine for right sided heart failure would help. The itchy spots on the back may be due to dermatitis which could be allergic/psychosomatic/secondary to cosmetics or cloth fibre. The opinion of a dermatologist would help diagnose the exact cause and its therapy.
