Faster Heart Beat, Sever Pain In Arms, High BP, Reoccurring. What Could Be This?
I am 40 yr old female, i woke up from my sleep at 6am this morning with my heart beat going really fast in my chest and both my arms with severe pain, almost like a dead weight. it lasted for about close to an hour and i was terrified i was having a heart attack, i think my bllod pressure was also very high. it was scary its not the first time this has happened
The limited information provided is not sufficient enough to arrive at an appropriate conclusion... If this has happened a few times, you need investigations for episodic events... Condition like Pheochromocytoma can cause increased rate, pressure and anxiety at the same time...
THE FIRST STEP IS TO SEE A CARDIOLOGIST / The episode has to be DOCUMENTED... EKG / HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance. The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.
Take care Wishing speedy recovery God bless Good luck
