Fatigue, Headache, Bloating. Had Delivery Few Months Back, Not On Implanon. Reason For Having High Thyroid Level?
Hello, I was wondering if you could help me by answering a few questions I have. I was told today that my thyroid levels are high(7.4). I just had a baby in May 2013 and was wondering if it was from him because I ve never had any problems in the past. Also I had the implanion taken out a couple months ago, could that of caused this? I have little energy and have headaches everyday in the evening and feel bloated, those are my only symptoms. I thought I could be pregnant but the test was negative.
Hi, I presume you mentioned your TSH levels. If your T3 and T4 levels are within normal, you can check for FT3 and FT4 levels and also anti-thyroidantibodies before initiating treatment. Thyroid insufficiency can stem from many causes and treatment for physiological reasons is usually simple. You need supplementation of thyroxine in low doses and monitored until you achieve euthyroid or normal state and the dose maintained at that level. This will help to relieve all the symptoms you see now. Hope this helps.
