Feel Like A Skipped Heart Beat, EKG Normal. Should I Be Concerned ?

I'm 29 years old, African American male, 140 pounds, about 5'9". I have this feeling of skipped or premature heart beats at certain times. Now I'm having them when I lay down to sleep, which terrifies me. I was taken to the hospital in April because I thought I was having heart attack, but the paramedic said my heart was beating normally and was not starving for oxygen. I had a catheter and was hooked up to a machine, and everything was normal. When I got to the E.R. I was hooked to an ekg for several hours and also had a X-ray done on my chest both were normal I was told it was a panic attack since I had started having them in the weeks leading up to the E.R. visit. But every since then I have been concerned about my heart. I just need some advice on what I should do.

Cardiologist Dr. Haseeb Ashraf's  Response
Thanks for your question.

Consult a cardiologist to get Holter monitoring done.

This test will record your ECG for 24 hours and will certainly get to a conclusion.

Hope that answers your question.
