For many years now I have been suffering from a mystery ilness I get these headaches that are unbearable they hurt so much that I can t even lift my head if Iie down i feel fine but if i lift my head its painfull and i feel dizzy before these headaches happen a sudden burst of dizziness suede happens where the room rappedly shakes from side to side or in circles. help desperately needed
Hi,
headaches could be primary or secondary. Secondary headaches mean there is an onset pathological process as its cause. Distinguishing a primary form a secondary headache is the mainstay of an appropriate treatment. A neurologist shall be better placed to make this clear distinction. Primary headaches could be migraines, cluster or tension headaches and have specified drugs appropriate for each. How ever, if secondary headaches are suspected, more exams could be asked like a CT scan and an electroencephalogramme to evaluate the electrical activity in the brain based on the case.
A suggest you meet a neurologist for a proper consultation and management plan.
Hope this helps,
Luchuo, MD.
