Feeling Dizzy, Weakness, On Pacemaker, Has Frequent Chest Pain. Possible Reason?
my wife has a pace maker and it paces at 70 to 85% of the time she also has a lot of weakness and gets dizzie a lot and fals she has tried working out and it dosen't help. she has seen many doctors and they all say she is okay her pacer will work and keep her heart going. what can we do i feel there is more to this she often has a lot of chest pain too
A pacemaker can only take care of the rate. It will not address the pain. For chest pain – she needs to be investigated for Coronary Artery Disease. / Stress ECHO and/or EKG is usually necessary; Because of pacing, a pharmacological stress will be necessary; coupled with thallium, is even better...
The limited information provided is not sufficient enough to arrive at an appropriate conclusion and further suggestion... / You have not stated her personal habits, family history, or co-morbidities, even age ...which could influence the diagnosis and outcome... / The treating doctor alone can suggest based on his assessment of the situation.
Take care Wishing speedy recovery God bless Good luck
