Feeling Of Electric Shocks In Chest, Intense Pain. What Should Be Done?

About an hour and a half ago my friend started getting this feeling in her chest, as if it was electric shocks. She says it feels terrible, but none of us are really sure what it is. She hasn t mentioned any other symptoms, though we asked her about dizziness , tingling and numbness. She says she s not really sure, that it is really just an intense chest pain . What should she do?

There can be many causes of chest pain. It could be because of lung conditions, heart conditions, conditions in the abdomen, because of pathology in the ribs and spine, because of muscles and cartilages of chest and because of various nerves supplying the organs and chest wall. So you can understand it`s not possible to come to any conclusion as to the diagnosis of pain that you friend is suffering from esp in want of adequate input. I`ll suggest, she should consult a physician who will examine her and then advise her accordingly.
