Hi there,
Thanks for your query.
The symptoms are suggestive of either Gastro-esophageal-reflux-disease (
GERD) due to acidity or hiatus hernia; or, a transient low
motility disorder. In these conditions, the ingested food remains in the stomach for longer than usual or, food- along with acid fluids- flow back into the food pipe in lying position (due to GERD or Hiatus Hernia- a condition in which part of the stomach is pushed into the food pipe and thereby, distort the lower sphincter (valve) of the food pipe as incompetent.
A course of anti-acid drug + a Prokinetic drug such as
metoclopramide +
Probiotic such as, Lactobacilli will give you temporary relief.
You should however, consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me, order required tests, and- based on the reports- will prescribe suitable and curative treatment.
