Feels Like A Tender Vein Above The Left Temple. Sensitive To Touch. Having Anxiety Symptoms Lately. What Could It Be?

I have what feels to be a tender vein/artery on the left side of my head. It's a little bit in front of my ear and slightly above the temple. It's sensitive to the touch. I woke up with it two days ago. I was sleeping on that side. I also, while laying on that side felt pain as if my hair follicles were being trapped in the pillow and it was pulling my hair. I have short hair. What is this? I am a student and have had anxiety symptoms lately. Never been diagnosed with anything. Family medical history is good as is mine.

I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.

It seems that the pain you arfe describing is basically due to furuncle. Its a infection of the hair follicle and it is quite painful if it occurs near the face. The same needs to be treated with antibiotic. Especially as the same is near the dangerous area of the face you should take antibiotic for the same. Amoxycilline and cefexime are good options.
