Feels Like Sharp Glass Is In It, Very Sensitive To Light, Red And Bruised. Have Contacts. What's The Problem ?
I m wondering what happened to my left eye....it feels like sharp glass is in it, very sensitive to light (waters immediately when in sunlight), is red and feels bruised. I ve had my contacts in only 1 month (which is about the max!) I didn t put my contacts in today to give my eyes a rest. What could be the problem? My friend was going to give me drops that were prescribed to her after her cataract surgery (she s only 40) and I m 47.

Feeling of very sensitive to light is called as photophobia and it indicates corneal abrasion or corneal epithelial defect. Since you are using contact lens it may be a complication related to using of contact lenses.
You should not use the eyedrops prescribed after cataract surgery, because the eye drops usually prescribed after cataract surgery are steroids and they should not be used in case of corneal abrasion because of high risk of infection of the corneal abrasion.
You need to consult your eye doctor and treatment of corneal abrasion is by antibiotic eye drops, lubricating eyey drops and avoiding contact lenses
