Fell From A Horse, Lower Back And Hip Pain, Difficulty Walking, Sore Ribs And Shoulders. Cause Of Worry?
Hi, I got bucked off a horse yesterday and kicked while on the ground, I had searing pain in my lower back and hips.I am struggling to walk as I keep getting shooting pains from my lower spine down my left leg. Today this is still the same but my ribs, shoulders and neck are sore and feel very stiff as well. I don t want to bother the A&E department if it s just bruising ,but I am worried.
Hi and thanks for the query,
I think is a good idea to get examined by a physician. Getting your vital signs like your blood pressure and pulse could be important in assuring that you have not have any internal lesion that might cause internal bleeding and concealed shock.
An examination by your emergency physician could be very useful in this regard and also in ascertaining that you have no serious concern with the locomotor system (no fracture). Getting consulted by your family physician or emergency physician could be a very good idea.
Thanks and best regards,
Luchuo, MD.
