Female, Had Genital Warts, Treated Through Laser Treatment. Is The HPV Virus Always Going To Be With Me?

Hello, I am 31, female and had genital warts when I was 14. I was treated through laser treatment and my doctor has not mentioned that I have any since then. Is the HPV virus always going to be with me? After I was treated, will more appear later in life?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Warts may come and go, and can be surgically or medically removed and treated. But the infection can remain and the infected may still transmit the infection.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
