Fever, Productive Cough, Pins And Needles In Chest And Throat Need Medical Attention?

65 yo female in generally good health but w/ asthma issues. Have developed 101.2 temp, heavy, productive cough - yellow sputum. Painful to cough - feels like pins & needles in chest & throat area. Ears are ringing.do I need to go to er tonite or call dr i n am

I can understand your situation and problem.
Yes, you should definitely go to ER (emergency room) and get done chest x ray to rule out lung infection (pneumonia).
Asthma patients are prone for lung infection due to poor lung defense.
And your symptoms like fever, productive cough, pins and needle sensation in chest (pleuritic pain,) etc are suggestive of pneumonia more.
So better to visit ER and get done chest x ray.
You may need antibiotics, antihistamines and anti inflammatory drugs.
