First Attack Of Arrthymias. History Of Open Heart Surgery, Has 2 Stints Put In. Safe To Travel?

My husband had open heart surgery 12 years ago, 5 arth. were blocked. Since that time he has had 2 stints put in and yesterday he had his first attack of arrhythmias.
He is scheduled to have a procedure on July 17, but when he asked the Dr. if it was safe to travel, the Dr. said it was.
I am very concerned about this. I do not think he should be traveling and be away from home just in case he has another one. What are your thoughts on this?

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Generally, it is safe, but it depends on the nature of the arrhythmia
The treating doctor is the one best placed to suggest depending on his judgement of the situation. – probably his arrhythmia is benign...
It is several years since the surgery – he may need a complete re-evaluation for favour of further assessment and assistance.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
