Fissure With Dryness And Itching In Rectal Region, Mostly After Taking Protein Meal Shake. Advise?

I suffered from very dry skin in the rectal region, causing fissure. My fissure finally improved. But gets better and then restarts again, with mainly dryness and itching. The one consist thing around the time when it restarts, is taking Protein Meal shake. So far on 3 occasions immediately after restarting protein drinks I have had the same problem. Could this be a possibility that protein shakes are causing my rectal problems?

Hi
thanks for your query

Your problem does not seem related to intake of any specific food stuffs.
You have developed perianal intertrigo .
You need to apply a topical antifungal cream like clotrimazole over the affected area twice a day.
Take oral antihistamines to relieve itching.
You might need to take oral antifungal if topical therapy alone does not help.

Hope it helps
