Flashes Of Pain At Back Of Head. Diagnosed With Shingles. Prescribed Immunosin. Normal?
Hi Doc,
I'm 51 years old male. diagnosed with Shingles 5 days ago. I was prescribed immunosin 3 times a day for 7 days, and sodium ascorbate once a day. The virus attacked my right armpit, right arm, and back of my right shoulder. Rashes have surfaced. I'm having flashes of pain at the back of my head. is this normal? What food should I take and not take? Oh, I'm also taking bcomplex, ibuprofen once in a while when I can't endure the pain. Thanks doc.
Hi flashes of pain on the back of head can be due to post herpetic neuralgia which is the persistence of pain even after active lesions are gone.it can be treated with application of capsican gel.and use of libotryp tablet twice daily can cure it.if still pain persists go for gabapentin 1200 mg until pain gets relieved
