Flat Light Brown Mark On Thigh. Reason?

Hi, so on the 7th of march I jetted of to Dubai on vacation and about 6 days into the Holliday I noticed a light brown mark where i have a small mole almost like a splash of brown had appeared on the back of my thigh, it's flat and doesn't seem to have got bigger. I thought perhaps its a birthmark that has appeared due to sun exposure but all my work colleagues and friends (some who work in pharmacy) have told me to go to the doctors as they say brown marks don't just appear? Should I be worried?

Hi,

It seems that you may be having nevus pigmentosus.

It is a light brown to dark black patch. There may be small melanocytic nevus or mole in the patch.

It is a benign condition. It is only concerned cosmetically.

So there is no treatment needed.

If it is embarassing, you may go for aesthetic treatment... Like laser therapy.

Otherwise , you may live with it.

I hope you may be satisfied with my answer.

Regards
