Fluttering Feeling In Heart After Doing Workouts. Is This The Cause For Concern?

My heart feels like it's been fluttering every couple of minutes. I've noticed it the last 3 days. Last Monday I started working out and eating better. I am about 50 pounds over weight and trying to have a healthier life style. Do I need to be concerned? Or is my body not used to working out?

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

See an Internist / get yourself examined / at times, basic investigation may be necessary...

Irregular heart beats need to be DOCUMENTED by ElectroCardioGram (EKG).
Standard ECG records the electrical activity of the heart, for a few seconds. It can detect the arrhythmia occurring during that time only. If the episode occurs randomly or precipitated by a specific activity like exercise, one needs Holter or event monitor and/or stress ECG

The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.

Good luck
Take care
Wishing all well
God bless
