Food Caught In Throat. Hoarse Voice. Drank Lot Of Water. How Do I Get It Out?

I choked on and coughed up pieces of a baby carrot but it still feels like there s something cought way in the back of my throat (right below my Adam s apple). My voice is hoarse and no matter how much I ve tried to cough it up, as well as drink a lot of water, it still feels like there s something there. Any ideas of what I can do?

Hi,

It appears there was some injury to the lining of the throat when you choked and coughed up the vegetable pieces. You may be having the soreness and irritation because of this. If so, it will improve with steam inhalation. If however, there is no improvement or if you have any breathing difficulty, then please see a doctor immediately.

Hope this helps you. Best wishes.
