For The Last Week Or So, I See A Semi-circular

For the last week or so, I see a semi-circular light flash in my left eye. It is perhaps 1/4 of a circle ring and it appears for an instant when I look quickly from right to left by moving eyes. This partial circle ring is roughly located in the far upper left quadrant of my vision cone. Is this something I should see an eye doctor about? No pain or known injury. I am a male, 59 years old, in good health, but overweight, with controlled blood pressure by meds, no other issues.
