Found A Large Lump Behind Ear. Suggested Post Auricar Node. On Prednisone. Causes And Treatment
My son 22 has a large marble- sized lump behind his ear for 2 days. Went to walk- in clinic. They said it was post auricar node...coul have been from flea bites on his scalp. Prescribed prednisone.. Sound right? When my son first felt it he did have some numbness all over hts body. But that finally went away. The lump is hard and tender to touch.

Having enlarge node behind the ear shows that there might be having some infection on scalp or in the ear.
Prednisolone prescribed by your doctor might have some reason for prescribing as generally this medicine is not prescribed in such condition.
What is require is one oral antibiotic and anti-histamine medicine course.
