Found A Small Dark Area In The Testicle

Hi. I went for a testicular ultrasound today and the sonographer found a small dark area in my testicle. I already knew I had some micro-calcifications from a previous scan 8 years ago.

The Sonographer informed the doctor and he contacted my own GP immediately. They didn't say it was TC - just that it is suspicious and that I would need follow-up tests by a Urologist at my local Hospital!

What does this really mean?
Thanks.

Hello
Thanks for your query.
You have undergone ultrasound scanning of Testicle and was found to have dark area (Hypoechoeic shadow)..

The hypoechoeic shadow is suggestive of either abscess or a cancer of the testis which needs to be evaluated furter by doing MRI and Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology(FNAC)

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and further tests.
