Hi,
First of all you have not mentioned your age.An xray of the tooth should be done to determine if there is any root fracture. A root fracture results in poor success. If there is no root fracture the tooth can be root canal treated and then a cap should be placed over the tooth and thus your smile will be restored to normal.

Dentist Dr. Akash Prasad's  Response
As mentioned by you, it seems you have a fracture of tooth involving pulp... Please visit a dentist and get a radiograph after which it can be assesed if you have only crown fracture or a root fracture as well. In case of a crown fracture a routine root canal can be done followed by a crown placement if required.

use the cap treatment of the fractured tooth, did you take any X-ray? teeth is a sensitive issue. not to neglect.
Dentist Dr. Sushil Babu's  Response
u can as well throw away ur broken tooth piece as it is of no use now as u said ur tooth is half broken assuming as pulpal involvement u may require an root canal procedure with crown after wards..not to worry they both r routine procedures although u need to get an x ray first as suggested by ur dentist
any problems mail me at dr.sushilbabu@gmail.com
