Too much dandruf .. I feel embarresed as it is very visible on the hair . 3. If I look at my a single hair - Bottom part of it is white top part of it black ... Ofcourse in a 3 CM length hair .( 2 CM - white , 1 CM - black ) .. To cover up my white hair , I'm using " BLACK ROSE " , to turn my hair temporarily black I do this activity once in two weeks . As I'm doing this I'm afraid to take head bath daily , because white hair again gets visible ..Also I afraid to take head bath because , I'll loose a lot of my hair . Please advice me on this .

Hi! Vamshi,
Welcome To HealthcareMagic forum,

vamshi ,the type of the hair which you are loosing is called TELOGEN HAIR .It has white end with a black shaft. It is actually a falling stage of hair cycle.Such type of hair loss is called TELOGEN EFFLUVIUM.And this is seen either in 'ANDROGENETIC ALOPECIA'(male pattern baldness) or patients having thyroid problem.Other causes are stress, change of place ,any chronic illness ,iron deficiency etc.

One needs to find the exact cause here before treatment .This can be done by simple blood investigations and clinically judging the patient by looking at the pattern of hair loss.Male pattern baldness has "M" shaped baldness from front. There is a positive family history also here.
Medical management would be taking tablets like finestride or biotin to local application of minoxidil solution.
Surgical management is HAIR TRANSPLANTATION ,where in your own hair are implanted over front portion ,which ultimately grows on its own.
Non surgical management would be HAIR WEAVING,where in a hair piece is placed on the top of scalp where there is baldness .
You can get further details in my web site www.skinhairclinic.com.

So,finding a cause is important .You can consult a dermatologist who can help you in this.

regards,
Dr.chawda
