Frequent Urination, Growling Stomach. Have Diabetes?
Hi, I ve been having some problems with constantly being hungry. My stomach seems to always be growling at me. I ve been having to pee a lot, im pretty good at drinking water tho, I noticed frequent urination recently web I forgot my water and still had to pee all the time. I get fatigued pretty easily for a 21 year old also, but I usually contribute tht to me being a massage therapist. I ve recently read that this could be diabetes tho, it does run in my family but not usually the juvenile type. My family members all got it when they were older
What you suspect can be the case, so please get your sugars done. Even a random reading more than 200 mg/dl will confirm the sugars. Anthing below that and higher than 140 mg/dl, you should then go for HbA1c tests and Oral Glucose Tolerance Test.
Other reasons for these symtpoms can be very high calcium levels in the body. So please make sure you get your calcium profile also done if sugars are fine.
These days, many people with Type 1 diabetes (old name- Juvenile diabetes) have strong family history of type 2 diabetes (the one which we see in most of the elder population) and so do not be surprised if your doctor names your diabetes as type 1 diabetes. But fist make sure you have sugars!
I hope you got an idea what to do. All the best.
