Frequently Sick With Chest Or Sinus Infection, Metal Taste In Mouth

My Dad is 67 and has had some sort of chest and sinus for a year. He has a metal taste in his mouth, is frequently sick. He also shakes and looks 10years older than last year. He won t let me take him to the doctors but he is clearly unwell. What could it be?

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
Recurrent chest and sinus infection need investigations to search for the cause.
Chronic bacterial or fungal infection can be the cause.
Allergy can also cause this.
Bronchitis is common in old age and cause similar symptoms.
So better to consult doctor and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system and sinuses.
2. Chest x ray
3. PFT (Pulmonary Function Test)
4. X ray of para nasal sinuses (PNS).
All these are needed to search the cause.
So first diagnose himself and then start appropriate treatment.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wishing good health to your father.
Thanks.
