Genital Warts On Penis Shaft. Why And When Warts Are Formed?

Hi, I had genital warts about 5 years ago 2on my scrotum and 2on my penile shaft.. They were treated by being frozen off.. There is an area on my penis where the warts were that was raised so I went back to the dr who said it was scarr tissue.. Ever since this has remained but recently it seems a little more raised .. Maybe it s just me .. I was with a woman and she saw the area and freaked out thinking I had warts and tht i should get it checked and let her know.. Is it possible tht after 5 yrs since the dr diagnosed the area as scarr tissue , and with no massive change in the area that this area can then turn into a wart? Please can you advise as I am very distressed by this as when I had warts before it made me very depressed Kind regards Gary

Dear Friend

Genital warts are usually a result of viral infection , commonly Human papilloma Virus. You can contract them through a sexual activity , or sometimes even through other ways.
Usually our immune system fights with the virus and shreds off it.
But sometimes our immune system doesnt get stimulated as warts are superficial or sometimes , if our immunity is not strong enough.
Usually we advise patients to get there HIV testing done.
I am not saying you have HIV , but its better to be sure.
Without having HIV , you can contract the viruses leading to warts.

They are easy to treat , you should meet a dermatologist, who will tell you all the possible waya to remove them.
