Getting Botox Injections For Chronic Migraine. Headaches, Nausea Everyday. Mild Relief With Medication. Cure?
Hello, I get botox injections q3 months for chronic migraine . However the past two weeks or so I have been waking up with a low grade headache and nausea almost everyday. My headaches in the past have been inconvenient, and easy to nip in the butt if I take my relpax at onset of symptoms, but I have never experienced as much nausea as I have the past couple of weeks. I ve taken zofran and phenergan a few times for this nausea, but with very mild relief - the nausea starts up again approx. 2 hours after taking the med. Any ideas? I am a 30 yo F, never pregnant, using Implanon for contraception . Thank you.
Hello, Thank you for the query. I advice you to have prophylactic treatment instead of daliy injections which will give you some relief from frequent attacks. For prophylactic treatment I suggest topiramate or propronolol as personally I use topiramate for myself. For acute attacks ask your doctor to give a drug in combination for headache and nausea.Thank you.
