Getting Pain In Groin While Exercising. Reason And Cure?

I was doing lunges at the gym yesterday. My groin started to hurt every time I lunged with my right side. It felt as if something was going to pop. I stopped. I don t have pain now but I would like to be able to perform this exercise in the future. My question is, is it a pain I should worry about or maybe I should stretch my groin area more?

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

Pulling muscles during workouts and exercises are quite common and is more common when you overdo it or when do something which is not familiar to your body. From the available information the pain might be of pulled muscle. Try hot water fermentation and steam bath of the affected area. Take rest for two days. As the pain is not recurrent, there mightnot be any fear of reoccurance until unless you overdo the exercise part again.

Don't worry.
Good luck.
