Getting Skin Irritation, Diagnosed Fungal Infection. Took Course Of AF400. Getting Symptoms Again. Suggest?

Hello Doctor
I moved to Bangalore last year, its been 13 months now. I have been getting skin irritations from last 8-9 months. i consulted a dermatologist. He diagnosed it to be Fungal infection and i took two complete courses of AF400 tabs and some lotions. things looked fine in a month, but again it started coming back. Symptoms are, flakes in scalp, fungal infection mark in chest, flakes in beard.
Now my doctor says, it will not go away completely, but it can only be controlled, Should i be taking anti fungal medication thruout my life?

Hi ,
Thanks for writing in.
The condition can be seborrheic dermatitis or tinea corporis .
Antifungal drugs should be taken for 1-2 months for complete cure .
Then it can be maintained on shampoo and powders.
Visit a qualified dermatologist and take a course of antifungal drugs for longer period for complete resolution.
Hope this helps.
I will be available for follow up.
