Given Toprol Last Week After A Cardiolite Stress Test. Heavy In Chest, Belching, Sleepy. Tired, Feeling Heavy. Taking BP Tablets. Stop Medication?

I was given Toprol last week after a cardiolite stress test due to them seeing some blockage. I have CAD and did have a double bypassy 17 years ago. I have been feeling pretty good until taking this toprol. I feel very tired, heavy in the chest out of breath, weak kneed, belching, sleepy, and dizzy and I do not want to continue. I already take a Bp med and things were under control. The toprol was started 12 days ago. Can I stop without any problems so I can get my normal life back.

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

A variety of symptoms - The medicine is not likely to account for all of them... It should not be stopped without your doctor's opinion. If it is to be stopped, it should be done gradually / stepwise - to avoid rebound symptoms.
You need to be investigated for exaggeration of Coronary Artery Disease – coronary angiography with a view for possible intervention. It is the only way to directly ‘see’ the block, if any – and its location, extent, severity and so on. Coronary arteriography is invasive but it is the gold standard for this.
Have a second opinion...

Take care
Wishing all well
God bless
Good luck
