Got Circumcised, Swollen Penis. Dressing In Penis Getting Loose, Looks Like Falling Off. Should I Leave It Alone?

I just got circumcised a day ago, and my doctor told me to take off my dressing and take a nice long shower on the third day. Do I take off my stitches or do I just leave it alone and keep it there? My penis has also been swollen for these couple of day, is that normal? The dressing on my penis is also starting to get loose and it looks like it's going to fall off. Should I leave it alone or take it up to keep it there?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
Circumcision is a small surgical procedure and must be taken care of as any other surgical wound. Please do not remove any stitches by yourself. A shower will help in cleaning the area and it may require application of an antiseptic medication as suggested by your doctor. Do not apply the old dressing again because of chances of wound contamination.

The swelling part might just be normal, but if there is severe pain then please have it seen by your doctor.
